Herieth Paul joins Maybelline as the New Global Spokesmodel

AMTI model, Herieth Paul, was recently announced as a brand ambassador for the world’s number one cosmetic brand Maybelline. OTSN host Darriel Roy had a chance to catch up with her at the AMTI Toronto Fashion Week Fete. @HeriethPaul @AngiesModels @Maybelline @OTSNmedia

The Tanzanian born, Ottawa native, Paul has already established a name for herself, walking for big name designers such as Diane von Fürstenberg, Lacoste, Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Armani, Cavalli and 3.1 Phillip Lim, as well as beauty campaigns with CKone and Tom Ford. She has become a memorable face on the global fashion scene gracing the runways of the biggest designers, although it was Paul’s popularity and unique beauty that captured the attention of the cosmetic brand. She will now join the likes of fellow Maybelline brand ambassadors and models Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, Adrianna Lima and Christy Turlington as the faces of the cosmetic brand. "It is every model's dream to be the ambassador for a huge beauty brand, especially one that they respect and admire," comments supermodel Herieth Paul. "I am honored to represent the Maybelline brand globally.” This truly is an exciting time in Paul’s life, who gets to work with such an accomplished company at the tender age of 20 years old.

Although Paul may seem young, she has accomplished a lot in her 20 years of life. At the age of 13 she was discovered by AMTI (Angie’s Model and Talent), in Ottawa and has since worked with internationally known fashion brands such as Calvin Klein, Stella McCartney, Burberry and Balmain, just to drop a few names. AMTI definitely saw something special in her that the rest of the fashion world and Maybelline clearly see too. “Herieth’s newest role as a global ambassador for Maybelline demonstrates the changing face of fashion," comments Dimitrios Seymour, Agency Director, AMTI Toronto. "We're seeing more and more models from a variety of ethnicities become brand ambassadors on a global scale." Paul’s outstanding features and exotic beauty has not only helped her in the world of fashion and beauty, but has broken down barriers and opened doors for ethnically diverse models, as well as to establish more prominence for ethnic models in the industry.

Paul will be representing Maybelline on billboards, magazine pages and TV internationally. Over the next few months, she will be travelling with Maybelline for twelve days of shoots for commercials and travel, such as India or South Africa, placing her on the same level as the company’s mega famous spokesmodels. She has really made a name for herself in the fashion world, from walking for famous designers, appearing on the cover of Vogue Italia and now being honoured by Maybelline with the title of brand ambassador. Paul truly is living every models dream.
